For 20 years, that platform stood as a digital home for countless local and expat football lovers every Sunday afternoon. Today, two decades later, YYL has once again entrusted YSD with their digital transformation. This kind of long-standing trust means everything to us. #### The Challenge of Preserving History While the original website held incredible memories, it was time for a major technological leap to meet modern standards. The true challenge of this revamp wasn't just designing a beautiful new interface—it was about **preservation**. The legacy system contained exactly 20 years' worth of invaluable history: decades of match results, league tables, and detailed player statistics. Securely migrating this massive and complex database into a brand-new system, without losing a single piece of the league’s rich heritage, was our biggest and most vital mission. #### Our Solution & The Next Chapter To build a foundation that will last for years to come, we completely rebuilt the platform from the ground up using the robust **Laravel** framework and enhanced it with smart **AI capabilities**: - **Seamless Legacy Migration:** We successfully executed a massive data migration, perfectly transitioning 20 years of football history into the new ecosystem. - **AI Photo Restoration:** Used AI upscaling models to enhance legacy player photos—originally tiny 80x96 pixel images—into crisp, modern high-resolution avatars. - **Automated AI Match Insights:** Integrated generative AI functionality that analyzes historical head-to-head records to automatically generate engaging match previews and tactical insights. - **Smart OCR Data Entry:** Transformed post-match workflow by allowing committee members to simply upload photos of physical team sheets; the system automatically extracts data into CMS fields, eliminating manual entry. - **Modernizing the Experience:** Introduced a sleek, mobile-first responsive layout so players and fans can effortlessly check live fixtures and match reports right from their phones. Launched in 2026, the newly revamped YYL website is more than just a digital upgrade.
